As we find the new normal, I’m continuing my market update via stats. I know those in the market to sell and buy are very curious what is going on.
Activity is decent all things considered. Many buyers are acting quietly and as a result they are getting homes with slightly less competition. But you’d be surprised!!!! With interest rates as low as they are, I think buying now is a great idea! Coupled with the challenge of jumbo loans or funds lost in the stock market crash – some buyers are out of the market making it prime for those with liquid funds and solid jobs to act while demand is sheltered in place. Home is so important – now more than ever.
For sellers, though guidelines are changing, vacant homes are selling with a tad more ease, especailly if they were prepared to sell prior to the shelter in place. Timelines are taking longer for apprisals and inspections but homes are sellling with patience.
