I am going to keep it short – the rate hike shouldn’t be too scary. Why? Well, if you can still qualify for a home loan at the new rate AND you are comfortable with the payments AND you want to live in the area you are buying for about 7-10 years. YES – you should still move forward with your plans of buying Real Estate. Remember, Real Estate investments, like your personal home, are long-term investments, and the market will change many times during your ownership. Why Rising Mortgage Rates Make NOW the Time to Buy

Recent mortgage rate hikes have left many buyers hesitating on the sidelines. However, smart home shoppers know this creates a major window of opportunity.

Fewer Bidding Wars: Surging rates scare off casual buyers, cooling intense competition and eliminating chaotic bidding wars. If you still qualify for your loan and are comfortable with your payments, let’s talk about your options. We are here to guide you home.

Negotiating Power: With homes staying on the market longer, sellers are far more willing to negotiate on prices and cover closing costs. Not all sellers are willing to take less, but those who need to sell and are abreast of recent changes will have options to negotiate.
