Canyon Inn, Emerald Hills Redwood City

Now this place is a staple of the community. My family has enjoyed burgers from Canyon for ages. Their Canyon Burger is hard to beat. Lately, my pops and I have found we’re both alone at dinner on Tuesday’s – so we’re heading over for some burgers, beers and bonding time at the Canyon Inn. Great for large groups, kids and friends. Another wonderful restaurant tucked in the Emerald Hills.

Sancho’s Taqueria, Emerald Hills Redwood City

Sancho’s is one of my favorite Mexican Restaurants. Fresh Mexican food. I am now addicted to their Chopped Chicken Salad. Corn, black beans, fresh cheese, chicken, avocado with a great ranch dressing – makes my mouth water and is protein rich. My husband always gets a burrito and when I’m the Realtor on the go – I pop in for two tacos. All the meats are fantastic, veggies fresh – friendly people with great food; a wonderful addition to the community.

Speederia Pizzeria – Emerald Hills, Redwood City

As a Realtor on the go my go-to lunch spot is Speederia Pizzeria. Located off Jefferson Ave, between Alameda/Edgewood Road – the bottom of Emerald Hills Redwood City – it is literaly at the hub of my day. To top it off – they have the best, thin crust pizza in the Bay Area. Even when I’m not in-between Realtor appointments – my husband and I will pop over for a quick and delicious lunch date for their Pizza Special – Two Slices & a Drink. I’m addicted to their Whitestone (pictured) and their Brooklyn or Pig Apple. Hubs, goes for the Pig Apple, Pepperoni, or the perfect cheese. Enjoy!

We’ve come here a few times for family anniversary’s and birthday’s. The food and drinks are always amazing. Some dishes are better than others. The specially are usually spot on. They make a mean martini and when we brought our folks here for their wedding anniversary – the hosts went above and beyond to make our night memorable.

Estampas Peruanas Restaurant – In Redwood City

Friends took us to Estampas for the first time and I was floored by all the delicious food. I’ve returned several times to try new dishes. The soup, the meat, the plantains – each dish is unique and delicious. The staff is friendly and kind as well – a must stop on the peninsula. Some of my and my friends favorite dishes are: The Ceviche de Pescado or Mixto, pictured was my last entree Bistek a lo Pobre – WOW! I loved it! The first time I went there I had the Saltado de Pollo and I was hooked – food served with french fries incorporated into the meal made my day – maybe life at high altitudes has it perks. Spare the hike and visit Estampas at Sea Level and enjoy Peruvian cuisine in your own back yard.

Bubble & Wrap Waffle in Redwood City

I love ice cream – I love waffles. No wonder hubby made sure our date stopped at Bubble Wrap and Waffle on Broadway in Redwood City. We had the s’mores and dreams. The waffle is delicious – great batter, soft and crispy. We need to come back and taste their savory menu. It was delicious – I wanted more ice cream. Worth a stop for a sweet treat!
